r8188eu Compatibility
« on: October 29, 2013, 05:56:30 pm »

I have a TP link 725N v2, 8188eu chipped, checked in compat-driver, 8188eu is under staging driver. Does it mean currently unsupported?

Got the driver somewhere and load it, and to scan network using iwlist wlan0 scan, however unable to see any under airmon-ng.

Could you show me the part of dmesg about when you load the driver.

The easiest way is to unplug it, unload the 8188eu module, clearing dmesg then plug it again.

Thanks. I have no idea why it didn't detect it. I ordered the card so I can have a look at it and fix airmon-ng. In the meantime, try airmon-zc

Result:

root@bt:/# airmon-zc

This script is intended to replace airmon-ng in 1.3 and is functionally based on it.
Please test and report bugs to Zero_Chaos on freenode in #aircrack-ng or on trac
