Jorge,

Yes it does.

In the future, please use the forum search function and/or read/search the wiki.  There have been previous postings about this device which would have answered your question.

As well, the thread you posted in says it supports the aircrack-ng suite.

hi!
I had already talked about the Alfa AWUS050NH v1.0 is not working well BT4
but just 1 month after it stopped working!
it is a party to the dustbin
so I buy the new Alfa AWUS050NH version v2.0, with the card PCB color Green
and it does not work very well, I get that with 3 AP, it's very can!
while with AWUS036H I get 16 AP, and ca with Windows and Linux.
I want to know if you had the same problem as me?
thank you

uhhhh, just curious, did u try any other drivers then the default ones? with BT4 pre final, it autoloads the rt2870sta drivers (which DO work with aircrack-ng suite)... I use BT4 pre final with manually compiled drivers from compat-wireless-2.6 as pointed out by our good man Zermelo, the tutorial is here (( full disclosure: I am a little biased as I am the originator of the HOWTO  Shocked ))

also of mention, I had very little trouble with the rt2870sta drivers that come with BT4 pre final, but as our good man Jano pointed out, the rt2800usb drivers allow use with NetworkManager, and macchanger  Grin sooo, to sum up ... AWUS050NH works just fine with aircrack-ng suite

post if u have any further trouble... best of luck!

Guys,

I just got this working, so thanks for all your help. I do have several questions.

(1) Upon typing in airodump-ng wlan0, I only see 802.11bg networks and no 802.11a networks. How can I scan the 802.11a channels too?
(2) I am in a place of many many ap's and clients, when typing airodump-ng wlan0, it runs off the page and you can't scroll down on the console window. Is there a command to allow scrolling or logging of all the devices?
(3) Is there anything I can do to see what networks may be running in 802.11n mode?

Thanks in advance for your help.

L3,

Maybe investigate Kismet.  It records real time all the APs but also has a log. http://www.kismetwireless.net/documentation.shtml

L3mi3ux_Man,

1) Read the airodump-ng wiki page to learn how to specify what channels/bands to scan.   Remember that your card must support "a" if you want to hear them.

2) Again, read airodump-ng wiki page to learn how to control what is displayed.  As well, the text files output by airodump-ng will have 100% of the APs and clients.

3) Nothing specific jumps to mind to uniquely identify N networks.

Thanx darkAudax,

I have been reading tons of the tutorials and FAQ's from the Wiki, nice one on ARP by the way, but I see nothing to my questions. I am happy to do the work studying but could you point me in the right direction for the display and also the scanning of 802.11a. Also, I am using the new Alpha AWUS050NH card which is 802.11abgn. Thank you so much !!!

This is the last time: http://aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=airodump-ng  Surely you must be able to find the page on the wiki.  Look at the channel and band options.  As well there are options such as -a to eliminate unassociated clients.

I just read this review at rokland.com where they talk about g networks compatibility issues with this card and mention there are different versions.

I have ordered one and I would like to know if the card performance is the same or better than the AWUS036H (otherwise i wouldnt want the new card...).

thank you

hello
Frankly, I buy 2 alfa AWSU050NH
I have version 1 and version 2
alfa 2 and does not sound good, even after selling my alfa said he had problem with the V2.0
my v2.0 it works not well
must not buy the alfa AWUS050NH
the alfa is more about the still AWUS036H that it is super, or ZIONCOM WL0162 but the RT3070 drivers and not recognized by BT
voila la différance between 050NH v2.0 and 036H
image is with the ALFA AWSU036H

image is with the ALFA AWSU050NH
