Hello,
I am trying to make aircrack-ng work on  my environment.
I have a Sony Vaio with a Intel 5100 wifi card that is capable of injection.
I am using LiveCD : wifiway 1.0 that has the patched driver for intel 5100.
I am flowing step-by-step the the tutorial "Simple WEP Crack" (http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=simple_wep_crack&DokuWiki=3890e0ce43ad8aa0ece6fa2da78bc743)/

My problem is that the "injection test" and the "fake authentication" are working perfectly but only on the first call.
After a couple of tests it seems that test AP is not accepting anymore my "requests".An because of this is not accepting enough good data  packets to start the aircrack-ng on that output.

Here you have my specific commands :

Quote
Steps :
--------- #airmon-ng stop mon0
----------#airmon-ng start wlan0 1
----------#iwconfig
wifiway ~ # iwconfig

sliderem,

You could try a different distro with the latest compat-wireless drivers.

The Intel cards have always had problems.  Your best bet is to buy a well supported card that is known to work such as the Alfa.

wifiwat 1.0 haven't support to inject with ipw5100 if you want to 'play' with this wireless card you can install the lastest compat-wireless such darkAudax had posted in the other post,
