« on: October 15, 2009, 03:32:59 pm »

Maybe a stupid question... but I couldn't find a list of supported network cards anywhere!

My Netgear WG511T doesn't seem to work...! AZZZ!!!

Mr. Wolf,

In wireless, compatibility is always driven by the chipset.  You have to work backwards.  The http://aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=slitaz documentation page describes which patched drivers are included.  Basically supporting atheros, RT73 and RTL8187L chipsets.  So if your card is one of those and WG511T is atheros so it will work.  Per that documentation page, since your card is PCMCIA / Cardbus then enter “modprobe yenta_socket” prior to running the script to load the wireless device drivers.

I found this:
http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:YU7CEQH5xHMJ:forum.slitaz.org/viewtopic.php%3Fid%3D55+%E2%80%9Cmodprobe+yenta_socket%E2%80%9D+netbox&cd=1&hl=it&ct=clnk&gl=it

So... I should start Netbox... but then...Huh

Edit: a service question: how can I subscribe a topic here???

Please take the time to read what I initially posted.  I gave you the complete solution above.

modprobe yenta_socket (from my posting and the wiki page)
startath0 (from the wiki page)

You now have your card in monitor mode.
