That is basic linux.  Use common sense based on the error message to correct the problem.  Plus how do you expect to read your mind as to what the problem is?

No it's NOT suppose to help anyone, it's suppose to help those people who have done some research.  If the admins and developers spent all there time answering the thousands of super-basic questions that's been answered 100000s of times already and on the wiki, then guess what??? They wouldn't have time to actually work on the project.  Clowns like you apparently forget that they don't get paid for this.  Simple, if you're too lazy or ignorant to figure out the most basic functions, then guess what, maybe aircrack isn't for you.  No one is forcing you to use the program, and guess what millions have done used it successfully.  Moreover, if the admins and devs spent all their time walking people through basic linux then what would be the point of spending time making a wiki or having other forums for that??

But keep on acting like a clown and see how much help you get.

If you can't figure out on your own that "cp" is short for "copy" and that the command

% cp iwlwifi-3945-ucode-2.14.4/iwlwifi-3945.ucode /lib/firmware/ <--this command wouldn't work

"wouldn't work" only because either the file trying to be copied or the destination directory doesn't exist OR you don't have permissions to write to that folder then your level of linux understanding is too low get aircrack working.  Period.
