Gernal Question + Ideea + Starting WiFi Cracking

Hey guys,

I know some gerneral stuff about wifi networking and have cracked 1-2 wifi's .
But now i would like start again informing me about cracking wifi and gerneral wifi.

I need some links for :

- Gerneral WIFI hacking ( WEP, WPA , WPA2)
- Information about the methods ( Rainbow ....)
- ...

I have a ThinkPad T60 and a ALFA  AWUS036H. I would say , this is for the beginning enough.
On the ThinkPad T60 I have Ubuntu 9.10 i368. Aircrack-ng is the newest version.


Because of the Thinkpad is not realy Powerfull to crack WPA / WPA2 ( I know thats like impossible)

For cracking WPA / WPA2  i would like to connect to my Home Server and let him work  as a cluster server.
Brueforcing with the GPU and Dict. with CPU.

I would connect to my Home Server ( the cluster) per HSDPA  / HSUPA.
The Server have a Intel E8400 @ 3Ghz , 8 GB RAM , 8800 GTS 512M , 4000GB RAID5. Running Debian 5.0.3 . . .

Clustering is not implemented in aircrack-ng itself at this point of time and it doesn't seem like it's ever going to.

If you really want to have a cluster (but, to be honest, I really don't see the point), then there are some solutions you may want to have a look at, I'd advise you to start by reading this howto first.

Keep in mind that, in order for the cluster to work _at least_ well, you need to have a decent network connection - Fast Ethernet is considered minimum when it comes to these, and I'm somehow certain that any mobile Internet connections don't even come close to 100Mbps. Your best bet is to just remotely log in to your home server, send the handshake to it, and start a standalone aircrack-ng process on it.

Don't expect blazingly fast speed with that hardware, though. You won't be able to crack a fairly decent password anyway.
