Title: Ralink RT3070 supperted by aircrack-ng?

Hello,
I like to buy an extern wifi adapter with an antenna. I decided for the Tenda W311U+. It has the Ralink RT3070 chipset.
Will this work with aircrack-ng?

it will work fine if you use a patched kernel like in kali linux roling edition.

It will be out of the box and it works fine. It is not the best but it does the job.

What would it be the best for a similar prize (24 € in Spain)? I read FAQ but I do not know if it is up to date.

3000mw is BS because of the antenna. If you do the math, the card is approximately 240mw without it at its best.

11dbi antenna is overkill and useless indoor. Go for a 2-5dbi. I wouldn't go over 7dbi.

EDIT: Is it compatible with Linux/Wifislax? Its web says no: http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/TL-WN722N.html#specifications

Also I checked this web http://madwifi-project.org/wiki/Compatibility and it does not appear neither.

madwifi WAS for ath5k chipset that are b and g and has been deprecated for years.

The card I mentioned uses the ath9k_htc chipset. Any recent linux will have it.

ar9271 is a very nice chipset (the one of the wn722n)
The alfa network AWUS036NHA has the same chipset, it is more expensive (double price) but it is better than the wn722n
better antena, more output power, better "product"
if you have both in your hand the difference is obvious and if you open them, even more :

Ok, kcdtv. If I can afford this one, I will buy it. Otherwise, the choosen one would be TP-LINK WN-722N.
