Title: Airodump-ng : why are BSSID not associated?
Post by: hunter3 on April 06, 2020, 11:29:02 am
Using airodump-ng with my wireless adapter in monitor mode, I am able to get expected scan to run.
Why do some BSSIDs show as "not associated" (note: not all of them show as such; some just show a usual BSSID). I have tried to use the other BSSID that shows up for the other STATION but it didn't work.

Because the devices are not associated to any AP, their wifi is on, and they're scanning once in a while looking for the AP they have saved in their favorites
