Title: [solved]airodump-ng doesn't detect correctly channel in band a in some AP
Post by: kcdtv on June 03, 2017, 10:11:54 pm
As i was testing rtl812au and rtl814au i realized that there is a little bug in arodump-ng when you can 5Ghz frecuencies.
Same behaviour was observed with Ralink RT3572
The three devices detected the same PA with "-1" as a channel
Injection test is not working ("no such bssid") and i cannot associate with A -1

But if i associate with reaver to try a PIN:
  - I can asociate,
  - I can tsend the PIN
  - The chanel is now correct in airodump-ng
  - I grab the packets

I let it scan for four minutes with bssid and channel filter but the issue was not solved until i connected a client to the PA-
Does anyone did have the same behaviour?
Could anyone try with another dual band chipset?

Are you using the latest version? If yes, please open a bug on trac. For the screenshots, if you could copy/paste the text instead of the picture (and put them between {{{ TEXT }}}), that would be great.

Thanks

Upssss.... I feel stupid now: It appears that Kali revision is a bit outdated and i assumed they were up to date....  ;D
Everything works fine using your latest revision with the three chipsets... Thanks for your attention.
