It turns out there was patch update that I needed run to fix the '' issue. Only problem now is that i'm recieving a '' missing issue now

it could be that aircrack-ng binary is looking for libraries in /usr/local/lib instead of /usr/local/lib64

As for yout virtual machine suggestion I'm gonna look into running "gnome boxes", maybe that'll do the trick tinkering with my sym-links and other items fails... :-\

If it supports virtual machines, then you can probably install kali in it and plug a usb card.

I'll attempt to manually install via git, also i'm running 'ChromeOS-88'. I discovered that by making use of the 'chromebrew' package tool you could 'unlock' more linux tools and features. This is when I discovered in the package listing that 'aircrack-ng' was availble as a download. I guess I just figured if 'ChromeOs' wouldn't permit its use then they wouldn't list for possible installtion it in the first place (cmd: 'crew search'--which shows the list)?

Hopefully this isn't a fools errand, but i'm searching for other possible solutions
As to why i'm using a Chromebook, because it's all I have and i'm bit strapped on cash given current events.

You may try to run 'ldconfig' as root, or reboot.

What version are you running?

Manually install it from sources using latest git. I haven't use chromebooks, but I doubt it will let you use wireless interfaces. And the built-in one is unlikely to support monitor mode.

Objective: Install the available 'aircrack-ng' tool to my chromebook so that I can perform some test on my home lab.

Issue: Though the installation via "chromebre" ('crew') was successful
unfortunately I still cannot run the 'aircrack-ng' tool. I recieve the following error when attempting to run.

ERROR-- " ./aircrack-ng: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory "

PS. before anyone suggests or asks I already attempted a redownload and I also attempted creating a new symbolic link using the cmds...

'ln -s'
'ln -s'
